Blair first joined Transact to fulfill the role of Commercial Analyst for the Maui Pipeline. His area of responsibility has expanded to incorporate a dual role of commercial analyst and project manager. Blair specializes in such areas as commercial liaison, contract negotiation, gas demand profiling, tariff setting, and pipeline control mechanisms. In addition to overseeing pipeline projects, Blair also manages Transact's Climate Change project and has developed Transact's products in relation to this business.
Blair has a banking and financial services background with experience in fund management, risk management, regulatory, financial control, IT project management, and commercial lending through various roles with Mayne Corporation (Strategic Finance) in New Zealand and Credit Suisse First Boston, and Baring Asset Management in London. More recently, Blair has provided a broad range of consulting services within Asia, Europe and the Pacific. His patented modelling and simulating techniques have become an essential component of strategic decision making, and solution implementation in the energy sector.
Blair holds a Bachelor in Business Studies from Massey University and an MBA with Distinction from the University of Western Australia.
